Dealing with a lot of so called “modern” anxieties and fears myself, I wanted to look into what they are, where they come from and what triggers them.
Based on that I created a text consisting of all the sentences that from the first impression might not seem so “scary” but put together create a very intense atmosphere
I recorded it wanting to play it silently in spaces that are isolated (toilets, stairways, isolated hallways) yet surrounded or being a part of by rushing, potentially anxious places such as train stations, schools, work environments (offices …).
By emphasising on the anxiety I wanted to try if it could have the opposite effect
because it is so condensed/concentrate it will hopefully force you to go out of the anxiety bubble for that one moment and reflect on it, see what is real and what is exaggerated
